The Irrigation Association established the Ambassador Program in 2004 to represent the IA across North America. Ambassadors are generally leaders who have taken a strong role in state and local green industry and irrigation organizations.

Ambassadors attend national and regional trade shows, conferences, affiliate meetings and other green industry meetings. They represent the IA, recruit new members, spread the word about Irrigation Association initiatives, and influence state and local legislation. At the same time, Ambassadors learn about issues that impact irrigators in various regions and represent state and regional concerns within the IA.

The Ambassadors are organized into regions, with regional leaders assigned to develop state and provincial leaders within each region in the U.S. or Canada.
Tim Malooly, Founder and President of Water in Motion, Inc., was named chair of the IA’s Ambassador Program in 2007.
