- Overrides the watering cycle when rainfall is adequate
- Minnesota law: irrigation systems installed after July 1, 2003, must have one
SMART (ET) Controllers
- Acts as “the brain” controlling daily irrigation system operation
- Unit electronically connected to data from local weather station
- Unit adjusts watering times/frequency based on daily data feed from weather station


Moisture Sensors
- Positioned in-ground, at root level
- Wired to communicate with system controller
- Provides daily data on soil/root moisture to help manage watering activity
